About the Role & Team

We are looking for an HR Specialist who reflects the innovative spirit, creative talent, production excellence, collaborative approach and passion for great filmmaking that define *** !
The HR Specialist is responsible for administrative human resources and operations related activity in support of *** and will be the liaison *** ween *** , ILM and *** HR COE teams. This will include, but is not limited to, data analysis, data audits, reporting, administrative transactions, program administration, and other HR services as assigned.

What You Will Do

  • Acts as first point-of-contact for general employee and management inquiries re: HR services, policies, and processes.
  • Creates various reports and analyze data using various databases, HRIS, and software applications
  • Performs regular audits on employee data and assess data for clean up and issue resolution
  • Identifies process improvement opportunities and clearly documents and communicates changes
  • Coordinates day-to-day personnel changes including using various systems to update information, communicate changes, and direct HRIS in processing the changes. Flag important changes to the finance team when necessary.
  • Works with members of the overall HR team in order to effectively tackle problems and proactively identify areas for improvement.
  • Facilitates onboarding for new employees; partners with Talent Acquisition and People Development team for onboarding new employees into *** and *** systems. Conducts New Hire Orientation meetings when needed.
  • Facilitates the exit process for outgoing employees including data tracking, reporting, paperwork preparation, scheduling and conducting exit interviews, and collecting equipment. Maintains weekly exit reports and proactively communicates leavers to other partners.
  • Maintains solid understanding of the employee handbook to interpret situations, make decisions, and advise management and employees as appropriate.
  • Facilitate Worker's Compensation claims. Meet with employees to intake information, provide Workers' Compensation medical facility information, and submit paperwork to vendors.
  • Performs special projects as needed on an on-going basis.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • 3+ years of HR experience working in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong ser *** orientation, preferably in a creative, production or entertainment industry environment.
  • Demonstrates passion for HR Operations-type work
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills
  • Solid understanding of Federal and California labor law
  • Previous experience working for a large company and/or a creative environment preferred
  • Strong Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides), HRIS systems (i.e. SAP / Workday) and database knowledge preferred
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential situations effectively and professionally

Education

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

The hiring range for this position in San Francisco is $63,400 to $84,900 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.

Your New Role...

The Sr. New *** Designer is a vizrt subject matter Expert. The position is responsible for software architecture, integration, operations/engineering support, development in new software (u-touch/magic wall), as well as some of their typical design abilities.   • Assist in managing and organizing assets within the Vizrt folder structure. Design and animate scenes in Viz Artist Build templates and variants in Wizard and Template Manager, Trio font codes, style guides for produces
  • Monitor air, verify pilots and fonts are working properly
  • Works closely with creative marketing and master control, verifying they have the tools needed to build promo graphics

Qualifications & Experience...

  • 4+ years of television production or equivalent work history with extensive experience supporting live programming.
  • Degree from accredited art program with emphasis in graphic design, web design, illustration, 3d animation, visual communications or related field, or equivalent work experience with a demonstrated knowledge of graphic design. Completed coursework in computer science is beneficial.
  • Ability to work quickly and accurately in a face paced news environment. VizArtist Proficiency: Template Wizard, Director, Viz Trio, Viz Ticker Client, Object Store. Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Suite. Cinema 4D
  • Strong communications skills: Regular interaction with producers, design team and other coworkers is essential to meet scheduled deadlines. Your Role Accountabilities...

A *** Copy Editor checks scripts for accuracy, style, balance and conformity to the Executive Producer's instructions and *** Standards. This includes checking source material, verifying font and tape information and printing scripts when they are ready for air.

Copy editors may be called upon to write some scripts. A copy editor may also be asked to review a writer's performance. The copy editor is expected to be a close adviser to the producer on any editorial issues or problems that arise with assigned scripts.

Job responsibilities include editing copy so scripts are easy to understand, more interesting and more user-friendly. Work toward compelling, conversational anchor copy that is accurate and up to date. Print scripts when ready. Check accuracy of all components of program, including graphics and other on-air editorial elements. Rework scripts when necessary. Work to improve network-wide accuracy by pointing out errors if/when they occur in Wires *** or other resources, or on the air.

The copy editor will need to demonstrate a strong familiarity with *** Stylebook and *** Legal Standards to ensure consistency that increases *** 's credibility. Demonstrate proficiency with *** font codes to make our on-air product look smart and communicate useful information clearly. Correct format scripts with instructions to director on left side. View video and graphics to make sure scripts and images match.

Your Qualifications & Experience...

  • 5 years full time broadcast news writing and/or editing preferred.
  • Four-year college degree or equivalent in proven industry experience required.

*** is looking for a skilled Senior Manager, Information Security Compliance who will join the Global Information and Content Security team that supports the organization globally across all US and international brands and divisions. Your New Role...

The Senior Revenue Accountant will be responsible for: preparing daily, monthly and quarterly advertising revenue accounting deliverables in accordance with US GAAP and Company policies and practices; performing SOX controls; preparing relevant reports and schedules necessary for management and external reporting obligations; and other duties as listed below.   • Big 4 Public Accounting experience a plus
  • Prior revenue accounting experience (ASC 606) strongly preferred
  • Experience performing accounting functions in SAP preferred
  • Experience using Blackline to post journal entries and perform account reconciliations preferred

Your New Role...

The Senior Broadcast Producer for *** is a leader who is responsible for planning, creating, & managing content for the program, including planning daily show rundowns, providing strategic vision for segments and bookings, managing producers, and managing the control room.

Your Role Accountabilities...

- EDITORIAL & PRODUCTION - This position plans all aspects of the program's editorial direction. Communicates and implements the creative vision for the show including proposing new program concepts and driving compelling and engaging storytelling. Makes crucial editorial decisions. Organizes and prepares content so that high pressure deadlines are met. Is the point person for the executive producer and senior leadership during the day.
- MANAGEMENT - Oversee staff to ensure high level of editorial and production consistency. Create opportunities for the development and growth of staff members in a creative, collaborative environment. Must have strong team building skills and work well with fellow producers and crew.
- STORY RESEARCH, DEVELOPMENT & PITCHING - Develop and enterprise story pitches related to news topics of the day and relevant current issues. Read and monitor multiple and diverse sources of information and exchange ideas with the Executive Producer and bookers for angles on stories. Collaborate with Anchor, producers and correspondents on direction and production of stories.
- BREA**** NEWS & NEWS COVERAGE - Accurate, rapid establishment of facts on a story that is developing. Coordinating reporting with others in network working on story, acquisition of live sources, communication with newsgathering desks regionally and nationally, access to developed network of previously established sources and quick response to booking guests and moving resources to cover breaking stories.

Qualifications & Experience...

- The successful candidate for this position will have strong leadership, editorial, writing and control room skills with +10 years of experience in television news, with at least five years as a show producer at a cable or broadcast network.
- The job requires previous experience as a senior producer on a live daily news show. It further requires strong feature and segment production, strong strategic vision for bookings, strong writing skills, extensive control room experience and a thorough understanding of news production.
- They must be a creative thinker who can generate numerous stories under intense deadline pressure and changing circ*mstances.
- This producer must be familiar with all aspects of television production including graphics, editing, digital news gathering and live remote broadcasting and be comfortable working in a collaborative environment.
- A bachelor's degree in journalism or related field of study is preferred, or equivalent experience
- Must be able to work an extended schedule as the news cycle and deadlines require and to travel if needed.

Your New Role...

*** seeks a talented Copy Editor to join the *** 10am-12pm team!

Your Role Accountabilities...

A *** Copy Editor checks scripts for accuracy, style, balance and conformity to the Executive Producer's instructions and *** Standards. This includes checking source material, verifying font and tape information and printing scripts when they are ready for air.
Copy editors may be called upon to write some scripts. A copy editor may also be asked to review a writer's performance. The copy editor is expected to be a close adviser to the producer on any editorial issues or problems that arise with assigned scripts.
Job responsibilities include editing copy so scripts are easy to understand, more interesting and more user-friendly. Work toward compelling, conversational anchor copy that is accurate and up to date. Print scripts when ready. Check accuracy of all components of program, including graphics and other on-air editorial elements. Rework scripts when necessary. Work to improve network-wide accuracy by pointing out errors if/when they occur in Wires *** or other resources, or on the air.
The copy editor will need to demonstrate a strong familiarity with *** Stylebook and *** Legal Standards to ensure consistency that increases *** 's credibility. Demonstrate proficiency with *** font codes to make our on-air product look smart and communicate useful information clearly. Correct format scripts with instructions to director on left side. View video and graphics to make sure scripts and images match.

Your Qualifications & Experience...

• 5 years full time broadcast news writing and/or editing preferred.
• Four-year college degree or equivalent in proven industry experience required.
• Editing skills-checking accuracy, balance, language, style.
• Ability to produce quality work quickly.
• Flexibility-ability to adapt during breaking news, ability to adapt to program or anchor style and rewrite when necessary.
• Must be eager, cooperative, energetic, team-oriented.
• Leads writer team and takes active role in many aspects of program preparation.

Base pay is just one component of *** Discovery's total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $78,540.00 - $145,860.00 salary per year.
