Beaudoin CHICOPEE Joseph R. 69, of 53 Fillmore in the Fairview section, died Friday at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in the Leeds secAtion of Northampton. He worked for the Bulk Mail Center in Springfield, Monsanto Corp. in Springfield and Beaudoin Builders in New Hampshire.

While at Monsanto he developed and held the U.S. patent for the quick release valve on the extruder machine. Born and educated in Lawrence, he was a graduate of Central Catholic High School there and attended St. Michael's College in Vermont. He lived here for 46 years.

He was a disabled was veteran a of the communicant Korean of St. War. Pat- He Church and member of the Moose Lodge of Chicopee, the American Legion Post 438 and Disabled American Veterans Chapter 11. He leaves his wife, the former Phyllis Gunn; a son, Joseph R. Jr.

He was a letter carrier for 36 years at the Indian Orchard Post Office, retiring in 1979. Born here, he was a communicant of Immaculate Conception Church. He was a honorary member of the ham Polish American Veterans Club, the Disabled American Veterans and the American Legion Post 277 of Indian Orchard. He was a Navy veteran of World War II, serving with the Seabees in the Southwest Pacific. He leaves his wife, the former Emily C.

Cwieka; 'a son, Peter E. of Nahant; two daughters, Patricia M. Jamroz of Wilbraham and Christine K. Ashley of Belchertown; a sister, Frances Caney of Indian Orchard; 1 and three grandchildren. Another daughter, Theresa A.

Florence A. Oliver SPRINGFIELD Florence A. (Magnani) Oliver, 90, formerly of 141 Elmore Springfield, died at Cape Fear Memorial Hospital, Wilmington, N.C. She was a clerk for 10 years for the former Zayre's Department Store, Springfield. Before that she worked for the William Carter Co.

for 20 years. Born here, she moved to Wilmington in January. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Sacred Heart Church and member of its women's club. She also belonged to the Pine Point Golden Agers and the American Legion Women's Auxiliary Post 277. Her husband, Augustus Oliver, died in 1991.

She leaves two sons, Donald E. of Morrisville, N.Y., and William J. of Wilmington; two sisters, Irma Brigada of Green Hill, R.I., and Alice Rossi of East Longmeadow; and seven grandchildren. Norman R. Hebert CHICOPEE Norman R. He- bert, 76, of this city, a retired employee of the Union-News and Sunday Republican, died Saturday at a local nursing home. Born in Springfield, he lived here since 1950. Before retiring in 1983, he worked in the mailroom at the newspaper for 35 years.

He was a member of the 25-year club at the Union-News, the North American Family Campers' Association and the Pioneer Valley Chapter 8, which he previously served as its president. He was also the past committee chairman of the Springfield Camping and Outdoor Show. He was an Army veteran of World War II, participating in the American He received the Victory Medal. His wife, the former Lorraine M. Couture, died in 1994.

She was a 40-year employee of Springfield Institution for Savings bank, retiring as vice president of the Mortgage Department. Born and educated in Springfield, she graduated from the High School of Commerce. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church and a former member of the Springfield Chamber of Commerce.

She leaves three brothers, Alfred Frank of Springfield, James Frank of Agawam, and Dominick Frank of Barnstable; and two sisters, Josephine Mulligan of Springfield and Anna Hearn of East Longmeadow. Chasse LEOMINSTER Adam S. Chasse, 11, of 257 Parrish Paris, formerly of this town and Chicopee, was struck and killed along with his mother by an automobile Friday in Kentucky. They were helping a motorist change a flat tire when the accident occurred. Born in Grand Prairie, Texas, he lived here for several years before moving Chicopee two years ago and to Kentucky last year. He was a member of the Holy Family of Nazareth Church in Leominster.

While living here he attended the Lura A. White School in Shirley. He was also a member of the Leominster Dekhockey League. He leaves his father, Lyle J. of Chicopee; his stepmother, Tina M.

(McNally) Allain of Chicopee; his stepfather, David Bowman of Paris; a brother, Jeremy J. of Chicopee; a sister, Brittany Chasse of Chicopee; a stepsister, Katheryn Bowman of Paris; his paternal grandparents, Gerald and Mary Ann (Gendreau) Chasse of Van Buren, Maine; and his maternal step Constance grandparents, Edward McNally and of Leominster.
